Hanko is similar to Western signatures and is a unique Japanese culture of imprinting their names.
Hanko is a culture that has been handed down as an important necessity to show "credibility" for Japanese people who confirm each other's "will" and "responsibility" by nations, groups, corporations, and individuals.
Signing a contract unlike in the western country, the act of pressing Hanko is a unique culture to Japanese people who make delicate and sincere decisions, showing their rights, obligations, and possessions protected by law, and mutual intentions. It is an important act to secure each other's actions.
ABOUT US
Tsukino Inbou is a Hanko shop that has a history of 70 years and has been in business for three generations. "Kamakura Hanko" wants you to know more about Japan's world-class Hanko culture. Therefore, in January 2021, we opened a workshop called Tsukino Inbou, where you can make your own Hanko.
We cherish the history, culture, and tradition of the Hanko that the Japanese have spun over the years, and carefully carve each it with all our heart so that those who have Hanko can use it carefully for the rest of their lives.
WHY WE CHOOSE
the ancient city of Kamakura is a place where proof culture are transmitted, and the birhplace of "Hanshi ritual" that has taken root throughout Japan as a "culture of giving a Hanko from a parent to a child".Tsukino Inbou is an good luck Hanko related to Kamakura made in such a historic city.

All of our Hanko materials are prayed at a shrine that represents Kamakura. We visit Rokugo, Yamanashi Prefecture, which is the largest producing area of Hanko materials in Japan, and collect only high-quality Hanko materials.
In addition, we have more than 100 types of traditional Hanko cases made by craftsmen.

We are particular about the details so that the Hanko surface is beautiful, and we will carefully engrave each character with all our heart. Hanko that can be made with our Jitsuin / Ginkoin course can be registered as a Hanko certificate or as a bank Hanko of a financial institution.
